New release from electronic composer and multi-instrumentalist, George Sarah
Vicissitudes comprises music from two very different recent film scores. The first is inspired by Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent classic, The Passion Of Joan of Arc (1928 film).
Sarah was on tour with a nine piece ensemble consisting of a string quartet, synthesizers and singers throughout North America in 2019-2020 performing at film festivals and performing art centers prior to the lock down. The second is the feature film, Her Name Was Jo, released this April 2021. For the score Sarah assembled a quartet of musicians to record his Americana, Shoe-gaze, Post Rock and Ambient material.
Vicissitudes connects two film soundtracks and combines elements of electronic and acoustic, early music and modern classic with a minor key introspection.”
